Sergey Kuzmin won European amateur super-heavyweight gold in 2010 before turning professional in 2014. The Russian heavyweight’s early rise included a victory over David Price at Wembley in September 2018, when Price did not continue after four rounds. Kuzmin won the regional WBA Inter-Continental title.
A ten-round majority decision over Joey Dawejko followed in 2019. Michael Hunter then gave him his first defeat, and Martin Bakole beat him on points in December 2020.
Kuzmin rebuilt with wins over Igor Macedo da Silva, Richard Lartey, Tian Fick and German Garcia Montes. The Russian Boxing Federation classifies his December 2024 meeting with Solomon Adebayo and February 2025 meeting with Ebenezer Tetteh as exhibitions.
Murad Khalidov knocked him out in the seventh round in Saint Petersburg on October 6, 2025. The Russian Boxing Federation and the IBA list his professional record as 19–3 (14 KOs), excluding exhibitions.
The federation lists an October 16, 2026 meeting with Artem Suslenkov in Grozny as an exhibition. No next professional fight has been confirmed.
