WORLD Heavyweight Boxing
Carson, California — David Adeleye will make his Matchroom debut against Alexander Flores on November 14, with the WBA International heavyweight title on the line.
The ten-round bout joins the Diego Pacheco–Darius Fulghum card at Dignity Health Sports Park. DAZN will carry the show worldwide, with TNT and truTV also broadcasting in the United States.
It looks a favourable assignment for the London heavyweight. Adeleye brings a 14–2 record with 13 knockouts, while Flores is 21–6–1 with 19 stoppages. The Californian is coming off a fourth-round knockout loss to Andrii Novytskyi in April.
For Adeleye, the immediate job is to get back to winning. He has not fought since his unanimous-decision defeat to Filip Hrgović in August 2025. He went the distance and troubled Hrgović in the eighth, but could not sustain enough pressure to turn the fight his way.
His power remains the attraction. The first-round finish of Solomon Dacres showed how quickly he can change a fight. Against Flores, the expectation will be a convincing win to get his new promotional deal moving.
Adeleye signed with Eddie Hearn in September, with plans for two appearances before the end of the year. Trainer Adam Booth put it plainly in a recent interview with The Ring: “David needs activity, promoting and progression.”
The WBA International belt gives the comeback a regional title to chase. More pressing is the chance to put the Hrgović defeat behind him and build some momentum. Flores has plenty of professional experience, but this is a fight Adeleye should win.
