Justis Huni had to dig deep against Kevin Lerena who brought frequent dangerous moments.

The Australian fighter, stronger on his feet, started the match impressively. However, Lerena, the South African boxer, landed a left cross early in the second round, followed by a short right hook a minute later, causing damage to Huni. Despite the setback, Huni managed to bounce back, consistently landing right-hand shots and finding openings in Lerena's defense. The Australian prospect however managed to weather the last 90 seconds of the round, fighting on instinct, managing to stay on his feet. Lerena was too drained to finish what he started.

After the final bell, the judges scored the bout 96-94, 96-94, and 98-92, all in favor of Huni. His victory showcased not only his resilience but also his tactical prowess and determination in the ring, solidifying his status as a rising star in the heavyweight division.
