Lagos, Nigeria - Lawrence Okolie recorded a routine stoppage victory over Ebenezer Tetteh on Sunday night, with the bout being halted at the end of the second round at Onikan Stadium in Lagos.

Tetteh did not answer the bell for the third round, bringing an end to a one-sided heavyweight contest controlled throughout by the WBC No. 1 contender.
From the opening moments, Okolie established complete command behind a sharp jab and straight right hand. Early in the first round, a clean right hand off the jab rocked Tetteh, who immediately found himself under sustained pressure.
Okolie continued to land straight rights with consistency, backing Tetteh onto the ropes and forcing him into repeated attempts to clinch. While Tetteh fired back with occasional wide shots on the inside, they lacked structure and had little effect on the outcome of the round.
The second round followed a similar pattern. Okolie opened with another right hand that sent Tetteh stumbling backward and proceeded to use the jab as a range finder while patiently setting up power shots. Tetteh remained largely defensive, focusing on holding and survival.
Midway through the round, Okolie landed a clean right hand that dropped Tetteh, forcing a count. Though Tetteh managed to rise and make it to the end of the round, he was clearly under heavy fire and unable to mount meaningful resistance.
Following the round, Tetteh’s corner elected to halt the contest.
