Jeremiah Milton faced a familiar scenario as he once again relied on the scorecards to determine the outcome of his latest bout. While fleeting opportunities for a stoppage emerged, Milton ultimately settled for a decisive unanimous decision victory over Craig Lewis. The judges' scores of 80-72, 79-72, and 79-72 favored Milton in their ESPN+ preliminary undercard clash, which unfolded at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Milton's hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What appeared to be a mismatch on paper hinted at an early conclusion when Milton had Detroit's Lewis (15-7-1, 8KOs) significantly hurt in the second round. Although Milton unleashed powerful shots, Lewis managed to survive the round. However, his corner was far from pleased, delivering a stern reprimand and attempting to rally their fighter by suggesting that the referee was on the verge of stopping the contest.

Despite these dramatic moments, no such intervention occurred, and Milton (11-0, 7KOs) adopted a more measured approach through the middle rounds. The undefeated 29-year-old exhibited a cautious style, throwing single punches and showing minimal urgency. The narrative shifted in the eighth and final round, as Milton seized the opportunity to push forward with aggression. He managed to hurt Lewis on multiple occasions but fell short of securing a knockout. This outcome marked the third time in his last four fights that Milton has gone the distance, a departure from his initial pro career where he stopped six of his first seven opponents.
