Las Vegas, NV, USA (September, 30, 2023) - Frank Sanchez, the Cuban heavyweight contender based in Miami, stopped Scott Alexander at the end of the fourth round of their scheduled 10-round fight.

Frank Sanchez proved too much for Scott Alexander

Both fighters were rocked in the first round when they landed simultaneous right hands. However, Sanchez, who is trained by Eddy Reynoso, the same trainer as Canelo Alvarez, quickly recovered and began to dominate.

Early in the second round, Sanchez (23-0, 16 KOs), 31 years old, dropped Alexander (17-6-2, 9 KOs), 34, of Los Angeles, with a right hand, although it also appeared he had stepped on Alexander's foot.

In the fourth round, Sanchez unleashed a barrage of hard uppercuts and right hands with Alexander backed against the ropes. At the end of the round, Alexander's corner signaled to referee Robert Hoyle to stop the fight, resulting in the victory for Frank Sanchez.
