Oregon, OH, USA (November 6, 2023) - Promising top heavyweight contender Jared Anderson found himself in legal trouble on Monday morning when he was arrested in Oregon, Ohio. According to records from the Lucas County Corrections Center, Anderson was booked on charges of improperly handling firearms in a vehicle while knowingly under the influence and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Top Heavyweight Jared Anderson now has serious legal troubles.

Anderson, aged 23, spent a little over eight hours in jail before being released shortly before noon, as per correction center records. Notably, Top Rank, Anderson's promoter, declined to comment on the situation through its spokesperson.

The rising star in the top heavyweight division, Anderson holds a professional record of 16 wins and 15 knockouts. His most recent performance was a dominant fifth-round TKO victory over Andriy Rudenko in August, which added to his impressive resume.

In 2023, "Big Baby," as Anderson is known, had two successful outings. In April, he secured a TKO-3 victory against George Arias, followed by a decision win over former heavyweight titleholder Charles Martin in July, both in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

Anderson, who is based in Houston, Texas, is currently ranked No. 7 in the Top Heavyweight Boxing Rankings, indicating his rapid ascent in the competitive world of top heavyweight boxing.
