London, England, UK - Another intriguing heavyweight clash has been added to the August 29 card at The O2 in London, with unbeaten Nelson Hysa set to face fellow undefeated puncher Thomas Narmo over 10 rounds.

Two unbeaten heavyweights collide in London as Nelson Hysa battles Thomas Narmo on the August 29 Itauma-Hrgovic undercard at The O2.

Hysa (24-0, 22 KOs) and Narmo (14-0, 14 KOs) will meet on the undercard of Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic, giving the show another heavyweight bout in which an undefeated record will disappear unless the fight ends in a draw.

Between them, Hysa and Narmo bring a combined professional record of 38-0 with 36 knockouts.

The WBO Global heavyweight title is currently listed as being at stake.

Hysa Returns After Long Layoff

For Hysa, the fight marks his first appearance since October 2025, when he stopped previously unbeaten Croatian Abel Pesut after three rounds in Tirana, Albania.

Pesut entered that contest with a perfect record and had stopped every opponent he had faced, but Hysa controlled the fight before Pesut failed to answer the bell for the fourth round.

The victory moved the Albanian heavyweight to 24-0 and added the WBO Global and WBA Gold titles to his résumé.

Hysa had previously stopped Germany's Patrick Korte in two rounds in June 2025 and Edwin Castillo in three rounds two months earlier.

At 41, however, Hysa is in an unusual position for an undefeated heavyweight contender. His record and sanctioning-body standing have pushed him toward the upper end of the division, but he has yet to record the type of victory that would establish him among the heavyweight elite.

That makes August 29 an important return.

Narmo Brings a Perfect Knockout Record

Norway's Thomas Narmo presents a different type of challenge.

The 32-year-old stands approximately 6-foot-7 and has stopped all 14 of his professional boxing opponents. Known as "The Last Viking," Narmo entered professional boxing relatively late after previously competing in mixed martial arts.

His boxing career began in 2022, and his 14 victories have required only 26 professional rounds.

Narmo took his most notable step forward in February when he faced veteran Mark De Mori in Germany. De Mori entered with more than 40 professional victories and had previously shared the ring with Filip Hrgovic and David Haye.

Narmo stopped him just 17 seconds into the fourth round to improve to 14-0 with 14 knockouts.

Before the De Mori fight, Narmo openly acknowledged that his earlier opposition had been limited and described the contest as an opportunity to discover where he actually stood as a heavyweight.

Now he gets a considerably bigger opportunity against Hysa on one of the year's most important heavyweight cards.

A Common Opponent

There is also an interesting connection between the two undefeated heavyweights.

Both have faced Colombian heavyweight Edwin Castillo.

Hysa stopped Castillo in the third round in April 2025. Seven months later, Narmo stopped Castillo in the second.

Comparative results only go so far in boxing, but the common opponent adds another wrinkle to a fight between two heavyweights whose records have been built largely outside the sport's mainstream spotlight.

Somebody's Zero Has to Go

Hysa should enter as the favourite. He has more professional boxing experience, has operated at a higher level and has been positioned much closer to the heavyweight world-title picture.

Narmo, however, is not the typical opponent brought in to extend an undefeated contender's record.

He is younger, physically imposing and arrives with something significant of his own to protect: a perfect 14-0 record in which no opponent has reached the final bell.

For both men, the fight offers an opportunity to answer questions that their impressive records alone cannot.

Hysa can demonstrate that his ranking and 24-fight unbeaten run warrant consideration among the division's serious contenders. Narmo can transform himself from an intriguing undefeated knockout puncher into a heavyweight worth watching on the international stage.

Either way, somebody is likely to leave London with considerably more momentum.

Hysa-Narmo joins an increasingly heavyweight-heavy August 29 card at The O2. In the main event, rising British star Moses Itauma takes the biggest step of his career against established Croatian contender Filip Hrgovic, while Guido Vianello will face undefeated Welsh heavyweight Moses Jolly elsewhere on the undercard.

For Hysa and Narmo, the equation is considerably simpler.

Thirty-eight combined victories. Thirty-six knockouts. Two undefeated heavyweights — and only one can move forward with the perfect record intact.
