Fighter profile
Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte built his heavyweight career around pressure, body punching and a dangerous left hook. Born in Jamaica and raised in London, he became closely associated with Brixton.
Anthony Joshua stopped him in the seventh round in December 2015. Whyte rebuilt with wins over Robert Helenius, Lucas Browne and Joseph Parker. His two fights with Derek Chisora produced a split-decision win in 2016 and an eleventh-round stoppage in 2018.
Povetkin and the Fury challenge
Whyte won the WBC interim title against Oscar Rivas in July 2019. Alexander Povetkin knocked him out in the fifth round in August 2020, but Whyte reversed the result with a fourth-round stoppage in Gibraltar in March 2021.
Tyson Fury stopped him in the sixth round of their WBC title fight at Wembley in April 2022. Whyte returned with wins over Jermaine Franklin, Christian Hammer and Ebenezer Tetteh.
Latest result
Moses Itauma stopped him in the first round in Riyadh on August 16, 2025. Whyte is 31–4 (21 KOs), with no next fight announced.
