Moses Itauma 14–1 (12 KOs) moved quickly from youth amateur success into major professional fights. Born in Slovakia and brought up in Britain, he developed in Kent and won European and world youth titles in 2022 before turning professional in 2023.
The southpaw’s speed, combinations and changes of angle helped him progress through Ilja Mezencev and Mariusz Wach. A first-round stoppage of Demsey McKean in December 2024 brought him wider attention. Wins over Mike Balogun and Dillian Whyte followed in 2025.
Itauma stopped Jermaine Franklin in the fifth round in March 2026, setting up an IBF title fight with Filip Hrgović. Hrgović won by ninth-round stoppage at The O2 on August 29, handing Itauma his first professional defeat.
At 21, Itauma has already shown considerable talent. The Hrgović fight exposed him to the sustained demands of championship boxing after a career largely built on quick finishes. No return fight has been confirmed.
