Top Heavyweight Boxers in the World

Simon “Grizzly” Kean is a heavyweight from Trois-Rivières, Québec. He represented Canada at the 2012 London Olympics, beating Tony Yoka before losing to Ivan Dychko in the quarterfinals.

Kean turned professional in 2015 and became a familiar attraction on Eye of the Tiger cards. A win over Adam Braidwood in 2018 was followed by his first defeat, against Dillon Carman. He reversed that result with a third-round stoppage in their 2019 rematch.

Parker and a postponed return

Wins over Siarhei Liakhovich, Shawndell Winters and Eric Molina preceded his biggest international assignment. Joseph Parker knocked him out in the third round in Riyadh on October 28, 2023. The fight page and result report cover that contest.

Eye of the Tiger announced Kean’s retirement in January 2024, with a record of 23–2 (22 KOs). A comeback against Stan Surmacz was announced for December 2025 in Gatineau, but Kean withdrew through injury.

That return did not take place. His record remains 23–2 (22 KOs), with no new fight announced.
