Michael Hunter denies the rumours of a fight against Martin Bakole, the Congolese boxer. In an exclusive interview granted to L'INTERVIEW.CD, the American boxer confirmed that he had no scheduled fight with Bakole.

This statement comes after a video of Bakole went viral on social media. In this video, Bakole  asks for the support of the Congolese government for his next fight in England. He also announces that he has received $100,000 in cash.

The video drew criticism from Congolese citizens, who denounced the government for allocating such a large amount of cash to support him, when there are other pressing priorities they say. However, the controversy over the money given to Bakole does not call into question his sports career, nor his reputation as a talented boxer.

Michael Hunter said "He (Bakole) doesn't want to fight" and added "they asked him to stay away from me".

It remains to be seen who Bakole will face on March 4th,  the proposed date for his next fight. It should be noted that Hunter is currently ranked among the top 15 heavyweights in the world. Boxing fans are eagerly awaiting the next fight for Bakole, who is considered one of the best boxers of his generation. He has won 16 of his 17 professional fights, with 13 wins by knockout. Bakole is also ranked in the WBA's top 10 and hopes to challenge for a world title in the near future.

Although the controversy over the amount of money given to Bakole has drawn some backlash, it is unlikely to taint his boxing career. Boxing fans are eagerly awaiting his next fight, and Bakole is expected to continue to be an important player in the international boxing scene.
