Ali Eren Demirezen

Ali Eren “The Iceman” Demirezen represented Turkey at the 2016 Rio Olympics before turning professional in Germany later that year. Fighting out of Hamburg, he won his first eleven bouts.

Efe Ajagba ended that run with a ten-round unanimous decision in Las Vegas in July 2019. Demirezen went the distance with the powerful Nigerian and returned to winning ways before his most productive American campaign.

Three important wins in 2022

Demirezen stopped Gerald Washington in the eighth round in Hollywood, Florida, on January 1, 2022. Washington began well, but Demirezen’s increasing pressure forced the corner to intervene. A win over Kevin Johnson followed in May.

He then beat Adam Kownacki by unanimous decision over ten rounds at Barclays Center on July 30. The Kownacki victory brought him to 17–1 (12 KOs) and remains his last professional appearance.

Demirezen has been inactive since that fight. No comeback or retirement has been confirmed.
