Efe Ajagba’s long reach and powerful right hand brought him attention from the beginning of his professional career. The Nigerian from Ughelli represented his country at Rio 2016 before turning professional in 2017 and developing his career in the United States.
Wins over Ali Eren Demirezen and Iago Kiladze gave him early tests. Frank Sanchez handed him his first defeat in October 2021, using movement and timing to win a decision.
Ajagba rebuilt with victories over Stephan Shaw, Zhan Kossobutskiy and Joe Goodall. He edged Guido Vianello by split decision in April 2024 and fought Martin Bakole to a majority draw in May 2025.
He stopped former IBF champion Charles Martin in the fourth round at Meta APEX in Las Vegas on February 15, 2026. The win brought him to 21–1–1 (15 KOs). No next fight has been confirmed.
