Dave “The White Rhino” Allen is a Doncaster heavyweight whose career has mixed difficult assignments with memorable upsets. He turned professional in 2012 and went on to face Dillian Whyte, Luis Ortiz and Tony Yoka.
A stoppage of unbeaten Nick Webb in 2018 was followed by one of Allen’s biggest nights: a third-round body-shot finish against Lucas Browne at The O2 in April 2019. David Price halted that momentum in their next major meeting.
Allen dropped Johnny Fisher in Riyadh in December 2024 but lost a disputed split decision. He settled the rematch at the Copper Box Arena in May 2025, stopping Fisher in the fifth round.
Allen subsequently lost on points to Arslanbek Makhmudov and was stopped by Filip Hrgović in the third round in Doncaster in May 2026. Wins over Ross McGuigan and Dan Garber followed.
His September fight with Thomas Carty at Croke Park ended in a first-round no-contest after Carty fell through the ropes and could not continue. Allen remains 27–9–2 (20 KOs), with no next fight confirmed.
