Johnny Fisher Edges Michael Pirotton by Majority Decision in Zuffa Debut

London, England, UK - Johnny Fisher 15-1 (12 KOs) returned to the Copper Box Arena on Saturday and defeated Michael Pirotton 12-3 (6 KOs) by majority decision in their 10-round heavyweight bout. The judges scored it 98–92 and 96–95 for Fisher, with the third card even at 95–95. The Zuffa Boxing 11 main event was broadcast on Sky Sports in the UK and Paramount+ in the United States.

Fisher landed the heavier punches and found success with his jab and body shots, but Pirotton made him work throughout. The Belgian pressed forward, landed several right hands and continued firing even after a cut opened over his left eye in the second round. A ringside doctor examined the cut in the fourth and allowed the fight to continue.

Pirotton had a particularly strong fifth round, backing Fisher up and landing to the head and body. Fisher responded with the more forceful shots in the later rounds, though both men showed signs of fatigue. He hurt Pirotton with a right hand in the tenth and pursued a finish, but Pirotton recovered and answered with punches of his own. Neither man went down.

It was Fisher’s first fight under the Zuffa banner and his return to the building where Dave Allen stopped him last year. He got the win and ten demanding rounds, but the divided scorecards underline how much work remains. Dave Allen is well outside the Top 30, and Fisher still needs several convincing wins against credible heavyweights before talk of him as a divisional threat is warranted.
