Frank Sanchez brought Cuban amateur experience, quick feet and sharp counters into a professional career launched in the United States in 2017. The Guantánamo heavyweight built his reputation through wins over experienced opponents including Joey Dawejko, Brian Howard and Julian Fernandez.
His breakthrough came in October 2021, when he outpointed fellow unbeaten contender Efe Ajagba over ten rounds. Wins over Christian Hammer, Carlos Negron and Junior Fa strengthened his position.
Agit Kabayel stopped Sanchez in May 2024, ending his unbeaten run. Sanchez returned to major contention with a second-round knockout of Olympic silver medallist Richard Torrez Jr. at the Pyramids of Giza on May 23, 2026.
The victory won an IBF final eliminator. Sanchez is 26–1 (19 KOs), with a separate no-contest also on his record. No next fight has been confirmed.
